Project Introduction

01

The portrait that happens between the ones you planned.

A black and white portrait series for Monument, made from the frames taken while the sitter thought the camera was resting.

The Brief

02

Keep the frames that were never meant to be kept.

We photographed each sitter for an hour and selected only from the moments between poses. The series is built from what would normally be discarded.
